Are you registered to vote in Milton’s upcoming municipal election?

If you think so, you’d be wise to check now to KNOW for sure that you are registered via the State’s My Voter Page -- https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/. Enter your first initial, last name, county, and date of birth, then press SUBMIT; if you’re registered, you should see your voter registration information and other pertinent details, such as your Election Day polling place and official place of residence.

The latter is important because your registration should match where you live now and your ID (such as your driver’s license).

If it does not, or if you’re not registered to vote at all, you have until October 6 to act. To qualify to vote, you must be a U.S. citizen who lives in Georgia; at least 18 on Election Day; and not serving a felony sentence or having been legally declared mentally incompetent.

To register to vote, go to https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/olvr-home. There you will find find a link to register online, as well as an application you can fill out/print and mail to Secretary of State, State of Georgia, PO Box 105325, Atlanta, GA 30348-9562. (Note that, unlike in 2023, Fulton County is running Milton’s 2023 municipal election.)
