The special "Open House" is part of the City's "Safety in Action" project, a targeted, multi-faceted initiative aimed at making Milton even safer for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists. The Hopewell and Freemanville corridors are among the chief focal points of "Safety in Action," with the City's team having conducted extensive analysis and road safety audits to identify opportunities to improve these heavily traveled routes. Proposed improvements focus on lowering speeds, upgrading road shoulders, reducing nighttime and deer-involved crashes, as well as providing enhancements with cyclists and walkers in mind.
