Thousands enjoy copter, vehicles, food, fun at Milton's Touch-a-Truck

Post Date:09/10/2024 10:36 AM
#Monster Truck Kid next to TireWhat began with a whirl, as a Fulton County Police helicopter descended from the sky onto a grassy spot outside Stonecreek Church, continued with a whirlwind of fun – all making for a perfect Saturday for our annual Touch-a-Truck event.

Thousands spent three hours enjoying everything that this family-friendly bonanza had to offer. Put on by the City and our partners at Stonecreek Church, Milton’s Touch-a-Truck wasn’t just about seeing (and touching) cool vehicles. It was about really experiencing them, whether by being dwarfed by a Monster Truck's giant tires, living it up in a party bus, or getting a hot-diggity-dog of a photo taken outside the Oscar Meyer WienerMobile.

It was about interacting with interesting people, too, such as paramedics leading hands-on experiences at an ambulance and Milton Police officers showing off the insides of one of our patrol cars.

The September 7 event also featured non-vehicle-related activities – unless you count the diverse array of food trucks, where people bought their lunch before sitting down at one of the picnic tables brought in specially for the occasion. Face painting, giant bouncy inflatables (divided by age groups), arts and crafts, and more kept families happy and busy. Mother Nature did her part, too, with blue skies throughout.

Thank you, once again, to our highest-level sponsors from Tri Scapes, the Reid Casey Real Estate Team, King’s Ridge Christian School, and Butler Swayne Real Estate Team for their support of this event and Milton, as a whole. And a huge THANK YOU to all who came out to enjoy Touch-a-Truck and be part of our awesome community.
