City Hall as well as all other Milton public buildings will close Thursday at 1 p.m. then remain closed all day Friday as our City -- and community -- prepares for and deals with the impacts of Helene.
There will be no Parks and Recreation-related activities starting Thursday afternoon either. Nor will there by Milton Municipal Court sessions later Thursday or Friday. Police and Fire administrative offices will be closed during this period as well.
During this time, City staff will do the best we can to
respond to any business or inquiries by email or phone. This will allow employees who can to get home safely, as well as to prioritize last-minute preparations.
Just because City offices are closed doesn't mean Milton employees won't be working. Milton has a robust around-the-clock plan to assess and respond to incidents related to this fast-approaching storm. Of course, our police officers and firefighters will be working 24/7, as they always do, ready to provide any assistance as needed.
We expect to start to see significant effects from Helene and later Thursday that will extend into Friday morning. Please follow the National Weather Service and the City's Facebook pages for the latest updates.
