Take image-filled survey to weigh in on future look, feel of Deerfield

Post Date:10/12/2024 2:44 PM

Retail Deerfield BoardThe City is actively seeking citizens’ views on what would look best – in terms of buildings, amenities, landscaping, and more – in the Deerfield area. To do that, it helps a LOT to have something to look at.

That’s exactly what our Deerfield online survey does. Please take a few minutes to share your gut reactions (and, if you’re so inclined, deep thoughts), by completing it here: https://form.jotform.com/242823539606057.

This survey provides dozens of visual examples for what theoretically could be incorporated into a reimagined Socialization Deerfield BoardDeerfield. (What exactly is Deerfield? It encompasses the Milton segments of Highway 9, Windward Parkway, Deerfield Parkway, Morris Road, and other places in that vicinity.) Categories range from landscaping looks to retail alternatives to contemporary options to things-to-do; for the most part, you’ll simply eye each one and then click whether it appeals to you or does not.

These same pictures were on display at last month’s Open House at Stonecreek Church. The idea is that people who couldn’t attend that event can still be “heard” through this survey. (People can only take this survey once, based on IP addresses and cookies.)

The City’s project team will take all this public input as it crafts a Deerfield Implementation Plan – which is a guiding document outlining an ideal future for this area over the next 5, 10, 25, even 50 years. It can also inform a Design Manual that will give developers a sense of what the community wants this area to look and feel like going forward.

The survey is expected to close the afternoon of Friday, October 25. To learn more about this important project, go to www.miltonga.gov/Deerfield.
