Citizens are cordially invited to our State of the City later this month – an opportunity to come together as a community to hear about great, important things that have happened in Milton as well as highlights about what’s to come.
This special annual event will begin with beverages and appetizers at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at City Hall (2006 Heritage Walk). Mayor Peyton Jamison will give his remarks about one hour later.
Please tell us if you plan to join us at the State of the City, as well as others in your party, by emailing
rsvp@miltonga.gov.
There’s no cost to attend, but having an idea of the number of attendees will help with planning. There’s also the (admittedly unlikely) possibility that we’ll reach the room’s capacity based on advance RSVPs.
This year's State of the City is sponsored by The Jenny Doyle Group, Painted Horse Winery and Vineyards, and Reid Casey Team. Milton very much appreciates their support!
It promises to be a valuable, community-building event at which those who care about Milton can spend time with fellow citizens and City staff during the first hour enjoying food from Milton’s Cuisine and Cocktails as well as beverages provided by the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. They’ll do so in a space decorated, in part, with flowers from Flowerfolk Flower Shop.

Then, during a speech that typically lasts 20 to 30 minutes, they will get a comprehensive perspective on Milton’s past, present, and future from Mayor Jamison.
This address will feature pertinent statistics, a summation of significant achievements, and a look-ahead to plans and projects that could come together over the next 12 months. It’s also a chance for the Mayor to articulate core priorities and values that guide Milton’s government.
