Expect Providence Road delays for removal of tree in right-of-way

Post Date:03/27/2025 10:00 AM
Expect Delays GraphicIf you’re driving along Providence Road the next few days, be prepared to see workers along one side and to experience related delays.

A part of Providence Road between Providence Farms Lane and Bethany Road is expected to be down to one lane Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28. The reason: Crews need to remove a pine tree from the right-of-way (so the area right off the roadway, in this case the southwestern side). There may be brief periods, too, when traffic is halted in both directions so workers can safely drop and maneuver the large pine without hitting vehicles.

Flaggers will direct traffic as necessary, most of the time allowing it to move (in either direction) in the open lane. Because of that, people should expect delays – giving themselves more time to get through that area or taking alternate routes if possible.

As with most roadwork projects, weather and other factors could affect the timeline. Whether they do or not, we appreciate people’s understanding and patience.
