In the spirit of spring cleaning, parts of Providence Park will close Thursday so crews can remove 11 dead trees.
The work should happen between approximately 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on April 3 on the 42-acre park’s White and Yellow trails. So the Blue trail will remain open, as usual, all day.
While we’re always sad to see any tree go, this kind of maintenance is necessary to ensure the park environment’s vitality. Nine of the trees coming down are pines that had pine beetles.
Thank you, as always, for your understanding! While weather and other factors could always impact the timeline, we expect all of Providence Park’s trails to be ready-to-explore on Friday.
