Made up of seven individuals appointed by Milton’s Mayor and Councilmembers, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board shares insights, expertise, and opinions on recreation programs, City facilities, pertinent policies, and other pertinent parks and recreation-related matters with City staff and leaders.

This committee, often referred to as PRAB, generally begins meetings with committee reports to share the latest Jen Young swearing in Rangersinformation on Milton’s wide variety of programs. That will be the case again on Thursday, with members touching on everything from Hopewell Baseball to adult activities to outdoor recreation programming.

This is followed on the agenda with the formal induction of Milton’s newest Junior Rangers. Led by Outdoor Recreation Supervisor Jen Young, the Junior Ranger program gives children opportunities to explore, learn, and love nature. Afterward, the Junior Rangers can recite a pledge and receive a badge at a Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting – as will happen Thursday evening.

PRAB then will discuss a possible new program partnership with Kidokinetics, which provides boys and girls -- as young as toddlers -- with fun, playful experiences in sports and physical education. (The company’s website is https://www.kidokinetics.com/.)

Following Thursday’s meeting, PRAB is next scheduled to convene on May 15.
