If you travel north or south along Freemanville or Hopewell roads, what safety concerns have you noticed, and how should they be addressed?
If you’ve circled a Milton roundabout (and we know you have!), where have you noticed safety issues and how could the City make roundabouts work better?
If you or someone you know has a disability or mobility challenge, are there City buildings, parks, amenities, services, and transportation locales where accessibility (as it pertains to the Americans with Disability Act, or ADA) could be improved?
All those questions and more are in -play in Milton’s Safety in Action kickoff public survey, with the community’s feedback helping guide what comes next week for the project tasks alluded to above: accessibility, roundabout safety, and corridor improvements.
To see and complete it, go to https://tinyurl.com/4wd7jbpz.
People should only need a few minutes to complete this survey, which – after a few basic questions – relies primarily on mapping. So participants can make their points by indicating a specific locale, then sharing their thoughts about it.
They will do so across the three categories referenced above, which are the three prongs of Safety in Action. This initiative is funded by a federal Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant to identify ways to make it safer and easier for all people to get around.
The survey is the first of several public engagement opportunities through which citizens can let the City’s project team know what they think and offer up suggestions. Many of these will be in-person, at which people can hear from and talk directly to project team members. Anyone also can send questions or feedback directly to Rob Dell-Ross from Milton’s Public Works Department at robert.dell-ross@miltonga.gov.
