Part of being home to the Milton Mustangs' swim team involves shutting down the City Pool to the public a few afternoons and evenings a year for meets, along with higher than usual traffic and parking on those days.
To that point, the pool at Milton City Park and Preserve will close to the general public at 3 p.m. on these dates for Mustangs’ home swim meets:
- Thursday, June 12
- Thursday, June 19
- Tuesday, June 24
In addition to the early pool closures, swim meets often bring in significant numbers of visitors. They must abide by City parking rules, including not blocking driveways or roadways (so that emergency vehicles can pass). Milton Police will patrol these areas during these dates; if residents notice violations or related issues, they can contact the Police by calling 911 or 678-297-6300.
On June 25, starting at 4 p.m., the pool will also close to the public for the Mustangs’ season-ending party. There shouldn’t be notable traffic or parking issues on this date, though. If you have related questions, contact Parks and Recreation Program Supervisor Thomas Rhodes at Thomas.Rhodes@miltonga.gov.
The City of Milton is proud to host the Milton Mustangs, knowing how valuable this program is to building well over
200 swimmers’ skills, confidence, and character. We wish the Mustangs the best for these three swim meets, as well as their away meets, over the course of this summer.
