Contractors and others in the trade are welcome to join, and learn, at a pair of ICC certified seminars next week at City Hall.

Chief Building Official Gary Mullinix will lead the sessions the afternoon of June 12. The first -- IBC and ACI 318 Concrete Basics -- will be from 1 to 3 p.m. and cover concrete science, plan review and inspection for building code regulators. The second on "Fasteners and Attachments" runs from 3 to 4 p.m. that afternoon, going over IBC and IRC references for attaching and fastening building materials.

There's no cost for either session. In fact, attendees will not only get complimentary beverages but also go home with up to 3.0 CEU credit hours.
