Dogs can send off summer at Last Splash Puppy Bash at City Pool

Post Date:07/18/2025 3:56 PM
Last Splash Puppy Bash 2025 GraphicYou can still have a hot dog once September rolls around. Good thing your hot dog can cool off in the City Pool.

The City is hosting its first Last Splash Puppy Bash for 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13. That’s a few days after Labor Day, when the pool at Milton City Park and Preserve closes to humans. But it’s before that same pool gets covered for many months, until it’s reopening in spring 2026.

While we know many-a-Milton dog loves the water, the City Pool is generally off limits. But for two hours on September 13, we’re making an exception. And if the pool is cool, last we checked dogs have fur so should be able to weather things just fine.
Each human can only register one dog apiece, and that dog must be at least 6 months old, neutered/spayed, and be vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and DHPP/distemper. There are only so many dogs that can safely be in and around the pool at once, so sign-up yours now while there’s still availability.

Special thanks in advance to Countryside Pet Estates for being on hand during this event, helping with vaccination checks and to ensure the doggos’ safety.

And if you have questions, send them to Community Outreach Manager Emily Salerno at Emily.Salerno@miltonga.gov.
