Tuesday is the Runoff Election Day for the Special Election for State Senate District 21.
Registered voters who live in this district can cast ballots between 7 a.m. and 7 a.m. on September 23 at their assigned polling places -- and their assigned polling places only. (This is unlike last week's early voting, which could be done at either the Alpharetta or Milton libraries.) To find out where you can vote -- or even to confirm you live in District 21 -- go to the Secretary of State's My Voter Page at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/.
The ballot has two options: Debra Shigley or Jason Dickerson. They were the two top vote-getters in this election's first round, with neither securing more than than 50 percent of the vote.
The victor will take over the rest of the term of Brandon Beach, District 21's former State Senator who resigned to become U.S. Treasurer.
