Properties in and around Morris Road may be without working water on Wednesday, September 24, as part of the ongoing
Morris Road widening-plus project.
The City’s contractor, Wilson Construction, needs to shut down the water main in that area as underground/water infrastructure has been relocated and reconfigured. Customers should be without water starting around 9 a.m. that Wednesday, and the expectation is that it will return to full functionality by around 5 p.m. that same day. As with most construction projects, numerous factors could impact (including extend that timeline.
The electronic signage shown here has been in place for days informing those who live and work nearby about this planned water outage. While efforts are being made to minimize the disruption, some individuals and groups may be impacted.
There is no expected boil water advisory, though, as the water should be safe and useable once it’s turned back on.
