Milton’s Design Review Board will vote on a pair of demolition requests and conduct a final site review for a residential neighborhood planned in Crabapple when it meets Tuesday.
The October 7 meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in City Hall’s Council Chambers (2006 Heritage Walk). Anyone can attend in person, or they can watch the meeting online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFtuPrw9rNc.
Often referred to as DRB, the Design Review Board makes recommendations to the City’s Community Development Director on new site development, new construction, and certain alterations to existing structures. The DRB also reviews some variance requests (as do other committees as part of Milton’s public hearing process). And it is charged with voting on demolition requests.
One such request on Tuesday’s agenda is for 3350 Hamby Road, specifically to demolish several structures (including a ranch-style house) on a 1-acre property. The plan is for this property to be incorporated into the new, gated Hamby Manor subdivision.
The other demolition request is for 16520 Phillips Road in northeast Milton. The applicant there is seeking to replace an existing 768-square foot home on a 1.5-acre property with a new single-family home.
The Design Review Board will also conduct a final site and landscape review for the planned Heartwood residential development on 7.19 acres off Broadwell Road near downtown Crabapple.
After Tuesday, DRB’s next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4.
