The healthier and cleaner that Milton’s streams, ponds, and other waterways are, the better off everyone is – and that includes fish, birds, animals, as well as humans fortunate to spend time nearby in nature.
The morning of Saturday, November 2, all are invited to help ensure that one of our community’s most popular natural parks, Providence Park, is as healthy and clean as can be. To help us plan ahead, we’d appreciate if folks sign-up via this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0844AFA82CA4F5C25-58509685-city.
Between 9 and 11 a.m. that day, volunteers will remove debris while walking along the banks of Cooper Sandy Stream and the Providence Lake shoreline. We’ll provide gloves and bags; the helpers will provide the manpower, enthusiasm, and initiative to make a difference.
This is the annual Milton edition of Rivers Alive, Georgia’s waterway cleanup program aimed at clearing trash from the state’s watersheds, raising awareness on the importance of clean waterways, and encouraging people to properly dispose of garbage and be hands-on when they do see something that needs cleaning.
