Drop-off nonperishable food, winter clothing for neighbors in need

Post Date:10/23/2025 11:47 AM

NFCC food pantry shelvesSupport members of our greater community in need this holiday season by bringing edible nonperishable items as well as cold-weather clothing to City Hall, the Milton Police station, or any of our four fire stations.

Donated items will go to North Fulton Community Charities, a non-profit organization that assists individuals and families throughout our region including Milton. This food drive aims to give sustenance, and ideally hope, to some of the too many people who struggle to nourish themselves and their loved ones with even one or two basic meals a day. The City will also collect coats, scarves, winter hats, and other clothing

Anyone is welcome to drop off items between November 1 and November 18 at these fire stations:

  • Milton Fire Station 41 (12670 Arnold Mill Road)
  • Milton Fire Station 42 (15240 Thompson Road)
  • Milton Fire Station 43 (750 Hickory Flat Road)
  • Milton Fire Station 44 (13690 Highway 9, in the front building closest to Highway 9)

Donations will also be accepted at these municipal locations on weekdays, starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 3, during regular business NFCC Logo 2025hours through November 18 as well:

  • Milton Police (13690 Highway 9, in the back building furthest from Highway 9 and closer to Cambridge High School, in the same entrance at Milton Municipal Court)
  • City Hall (2006 Heritage Walk)

What’s needed? Basically anything that you can eat that can stay at room-temperature for a long amount of time without spoiling. This includes cans of food, packaged items (like cereal or mac and cheese), dried goods, and staples like spices, honey, coffee, tea, or peanut butter. Plus, any clothing that people can wear as the weather starts to get colder would be greatly appreciated.

After everything is collected, the Milton team will make sure that everything gets to North Fulton Community Charities. That non-profit will then distribute these needed goods to people over the subsequent weeks, as the temperatures drop but people’s needs do not. We sincerely appreciate what we’re sure will be a generous show of support from the Milton community. Thank you!
