Former U.S. military, families invited to Milton's annual Veterans Breakfast

Post Date:10/31/2025 4:13 PM

Veteran's Breakfast_Invite_25Those have served in the U.S. military are cordially invited to Milton’s annual Veterans Breakfast – an opportunity for the City to thank, connect, and, yes, feed these exemplary, difference-making individuals and their loved ones.

This year’s event will be on Saturday, November 8, starting at 9 a.m. in City Hall’s Council Chambers.  There’s no cost to attend, though those planning to come should email us at rsvp@miltonga.gov as the seating capacity is limited. In your message, please include the names of all those in your party – so the veteran and whomever else will accompany him or her.

Milton has a proud tradition of paying tribute to those who have bravely, selflessly been in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force. These men and women, after all, courageously served and sacrificed for the greater good of us all. The Milton Veterans Breakfast allows the City to offer our gratitude in an intimate setting as well as to allow veterans to engage with other members of their special community.

In addition to a warm catered breakfast, attendees will hear from several speakers. These will include Mayor Peyton Jamison, fellow veterans, and the featured speaker, Retired U.S. Army Colonel Richard White. Col. White served around the world for 31 years – including 24 months in combat in Vietnam, as well as 14 United States’ locations plus Germany, Panama, Honduras, and El Salvador. For much of his career, the Georgia native led between 40 and 2,200 soldiers at a time with a wide range of missions from Infantry to Air cavalry to Special Forces.
