Calling all park lovers, nature enthusiasts, and natural leaders: Milton needs you!
Specifically, we are looking for a handful of Trail Crew Leaders for our next Birmingham Park Clean-up Day. That may not happen until (8 to 11 a.m. on) Saturday, February 28 – so a few months away – but our Parks and Rec team has started planning now to optimize the likelihood of this event being as safe, efficient, and impactful as possible.
Having Trail Crew Leaders in place sooner rather than later is key. He or she does NOT have to be an expert. But they should the energy, character, and basic intuition to guide small groups of volunteers to remove debris, do basic tree maintenance, take on other tasks, and help ensure everyone has a safe, positive, productive experience. The time commitment should be minimal: a virtual meeting, then three hours during the Saturday event.
If you can block that time on your calendar and think you’d be a good fit, please let us know via this form:
