Clear clutter, help the Earth through Electronics Recycling Event

Post Date:12/04/2025 9:39 AM

December 2025 ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENTCitizens can bring most anything wired to Bell Memorial Park on Saturday, December 13, so that it can repurposed and disposed of in an environmentally friendly way at Milton’s next Electronics Recycling Event.

This is the second time this year that the City of Milton has offered this mostly free service, giving people the opportunity to clear out items from the house and hand them over the eco-friendly junk removal experts at Junkluggers. This upcoming event will run from 9 a.m. to noon that Saturday.

The no-cost items include, but aren’t necessarily limited to:

  • Copiers, printers, and scanners
  • Fax machines
  • Keyboards and “mice”
  • Music, CD, VCR, DVD, Blu-ray, etc. players
  • Network equipment and modems
  • Personal computers
  • Phones
  • Small kitchen appliances
  • Vacuums
  • Wires and cables (including computer power supplies)

electronicsYou can also bring laptops, Chromebooks, and tablets so they be recycled in accordance with the R2 Standard for data-sensitive devices. (Still, we can’t accommodate super big items like a full-size electric stove and mammoth refrigerator – though an air fryer or mini-fridge would be fine).

The only two items that come with a fee are televisions (no rear projections!) for $20 and $10 for a computer monitor. Please bring cash if you need to make either of these payments at the Recycling Event site.

This is one of several sustainability-minded initiatives offered by the City. Others will be within clear sight on December 13 – the glass recycling and cardboard recycling containers in Bell’s parking lot. The City also has smaller bins, for specific types of items, at City Hall, the Milton Police Station, and Milton City Park and Preserve.
