It’s Christmastime in Milton.
Santa and some helpers -- one of them being Mayor Peyton Jamison – made this official early Saturday evening at Broadwell Pavilion, culminating the Christmas in Crabapple event by lighting the official City tree with a flourish. That flourish came in the form of a gigantic switch, specially made snow, a “Deck the Halls” performance by Milton High School chorus singers … and, of course, the tree lighting up to formally usher in the holidays.
This fun, festive community event began with Santa’s arrival on a Milton Fire truck, ushered in by members of Cambridge High’s marching band. St. Nick spent the next several hours posing for free, professional pictures.
On a chilly December day, hundreds of attendees stayed busy and happy participating in an array of activities, warming up with hot chocolate and tasty food, and generally enjoying being part of a community very much in the holiday spirit.
Thanks to everyone who made it to Broadwell Pavilion for this always special holiday kickoff. Whether or not we see you at some of our other upcoming events, we hope you have the most joyous of Christmas season.
