Mrs. Claus, her three favorite elves, and the planet’s cutest tea partiers saving Christmas? Yep, that happened the Monday morning before the holiday, right here in Milton.
This phenomenally fun yuletide rescue – involving tinsel wands, antler magic, and the TEA technology powering Santa’s sleigh – was one of the many highlights from the Tea Party with Mrs. Claus.
Little ones (and their older loved ones) dined on finger foods and sipped on hot chocolate while seated around tables in Milton City Hall’s Council Chambers-turned-Winter Wonderland. They were welcomed enthusiastically by legendary elves Jingles and Sprinkles, as well as a new addition in Peppermint (who her buds now call Peppy) – until their spirits dimmed after Jingles broke the high-tech sleigh system. (Whoops!) Thankfully, Mrs. Claus arrived just in time to rally those in the crowd to magically make everything right again to the delight of Santa, who called in by phone.
After that, the scores of attendees settled in to take pictures with Mrs. Claus as well as hear her read a book close to her heart: “Mrs. Claus Takes the Reins.” Monday’s event also featured a Christmas-themed crafts room, cookie decorating, and face painting. It was a special, homey, happy celebration of Christmas and our special community.
It also wrapped up the City’s official series of holiday events. That said, we know that there’s a lot more excitement in store over the coming days. Merry Christmas, Milton!
