Milton Fire's resident RN offering more free public wellness clinics

Post Date:02/04/2026 4:25 PM

Early 2026 COMMUNITY WELLNESS CHECKS.GraphicNew year, new healthier you – with help from the Milton Fire CARES family.

Derek Hofmann, a Milton firefighter and our own resident registered nurse, once again will conduct free wellness clinics in 2026 for anyone interested in getting more (potentially lifesaving) information about their health. At these open events, you can get EKG, blood pressure, and glucose checks, among other services.

The clinics will occur on the following Wednesdays and locations, in each case from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.:

  • February 11 at Community Place (the small building next to City Hall at 2006 Heritage Walk)
  • February 25 at Bethwell Community Center (2595 Hopewell Road, near the Cogburn/Francis roundabout)
  • March 11 at Community Place
  • March 25 at Community Place

No need to sign-up in advance or even give your insurance information on-site. Just drop by whenever you can in those two-hour windows (understanding that there could be a slight wait if people are in front of you).

These wellness clinics are offered through Fire CARES, a part of the Milton Fire-Rescue Department dedicated to bringing medical care, services, and information directly to our community. Other CARES services include house check-ins in collaboration with physicians, CPR and other complimentary classes, and responding to 911 calls. To learn more, go to www.miltonga.gov/FireCARES.
