It was a perfect day for a Community Egg Hunt – a sentiment no doubt shared by the thousands who joyfully attended the most edition of this beloved Milton tradition.
On a sunny, picturesque early spring Saturday, families flocked to the Cambridge High School campus where activities were spread out more than in the past to allow for more elbow room for visitors, food vendors, and assorted activities.
The showcase event – the egg hunts – took place once again on the Bears’ football field, which was divided into thirds for different age groups. There were 16 egg hunts overall, including one during the sensory-sensitive hour immediately preceding the main event. Participants then

exchanged their collected plastic eggs for special goodie bags full of candy and more.
But don’t let the name fool you. The Community Egg Hunt is about more than just egg hunts. From giant inflatable slides to climbing walls to trucks with treats and a whole lot more, there was plenty to kids and their folks amused and engaged for hours on end.
We’re grateful, once again, to Stonecreek Church for partnering with the City on this special community events.
