The City has published a pair of detailed, easy-to-follow reports documenting government finances over the most recently completed fiscal year – the latest in a long line of efforts to be accurate, accountable, and transparent with our citizens.
Milton’s historical financial reports – dating back to Fiscal Year 2007, which was the City’s first after its incorporation – can be found HERE: https://www.miltonga.gov/government/finance/annual-financial-reporting/. This page includes the latest two reports.
At the top is Milton’s Popular Annual Finance Report, a document that conveys pertinent financial information in a comprehensible manner featuring graphics, clear language, and select figures that speak to the City government’s good health. The targets for this report, which is referred to as PAFR, are citizens who don’t necessarily have a background in municipal finance.
To see the most recent such report for Fiscal Year 2025 (which ran from October 1, 2024, through September 30, 2025), go to https://www.miltonga.gov/home/showdocument?id=9143.
This City’s Finance team also completed its Annual Comprehensive Financial Reportfor Fiscal Year 2025. This is a more
exhaustive dive into a board array of elements connected to Milton’s finances such as statements and schedules, trends, revenue and debt capacity information, as well as demographic, economic, and operating information.
That report, known as ACFR, is viewable at https://www.miltonga.gov/home/showdocument?id=9141.
Every edition of these two reports ever produced by Milton has earned the highest-possible recognitions from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the leading group nationally when it comes to government finances. So, too, has the City’s Annual “Budget Book,” which chronicles budgetary details and comes out during the fiscal year it refers to (rather than after the fact). Because of that, Milton has long laid claim to the “Triple Crown” of financial reporting that speaks to the City’s longstanding emphasis on clear, responsible, and transparent budgeting.
