Fire CARES' RN to conduct 3 free public wellness clinics this spring

Post Date:04/20/2026 2:24 PM

DSC_4582Spring is a season for rejuvenation, which can include a fresh focus on your health. It’s a great time, in other words, to get your vitals checked at a Milton Fire CARES health clinic.

Three are planned for Wednesdays over the next two months – on April 22, April 29, and May 27. Each will run from 1 to 3 p.m. in Community Place, the small building next to City Hall at 2006 Heritage Walk.

Our very own Derek Hofmann, a Milton firefighter and registered nurse, will conduct these free wellness checks. Whomever comes by – with no need to register in advance – can:

  • Have their blood pressure measured
  • Get their glucose levels checked
  • Gauge their heart health with an EKG (electrocardiogram)
  • Have their wounds tended to
  • Receive general assessments from a health care pro

This public service is part of Milton Fire CARES, a program that aims to bring health care, education, and services directly to the people. You can learn more about it at www.miltonga.gov/FireCARES.
