Cheers to the difference-making recipients of the City of Milton’s first ever Student Service Awards!
The City established this honor – which comes with a special chord to wear around their necks at graduation, as well as official congratulations at a City Council meeting – to celebrate teenage Milton residents who have gone above and beyond to positively impact our community. Nine high school seniors successfully applied for the award, which they officially received at Monday night’s City Council meeting.
The 2026 winners are:
- Reagan Berube from Milton High School
- Nathaniel Blahnik from Milton High School
- Ella Brown from Milton High School
- Grey Donner from Cambridge High School
- Miller Estes from Cambridge High School
- Caroline Maples from Milton High School
- Lauren Mathews from Milton High School
- Nora Michaelis from King’s Ridge Christian School
- Sydney O’Connor from Milton High School
To earn this recognition, a student had to share documentation of their 225 (and, in most every case, appreciably more) hours of public service throughout their time in high school. Their unpaid volunteerism had to be done through an approved organization, with at least 75% of the required hours benefiting, in some way, people in Milton.
Their service took myriad forms – from making sandwiches and blankets for the homeless; to helping seniors, veterans, and rescue dogs; to supporting health-related and other worthy causes; and much, much more. The City of Milton is appreciative and grateful for these Student Service Award winners’ generous spirit, selflessness, and commitment to making our society better in ways big and small.
