Activities, treats, and more at Splash 'N Bash by the City Pool

Post Date:05/15/2026 9:13 PM

Pool MushroomStart off summer right at Milton’s annual Splash ‘N Bash!

That’s what we call the fun-filled, family-friendly event held at Milton City Park and Preserve on the Saturday before Memorial Day. No coincidence, but this coincides with the season opening of the City Pool.

Anyone is welcome to welcome to enjoy the pool from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 23 during Splash ‘N Bash. (It’ll be free of charge, unlike during other days or even for those who come later that afternoon.) Yet swimming in the water and frolicking under the mushroom – all while the talented folks at School of Rock play live music from the pool deck – is just part of what you can do that Saturday.

Kidokinetics – a City program partner that introduces young kids to all sorts of athletics – will oversee sporty play on the back lawn behind MCPP’s Community Center. Inside that building, young kids can get their art on through an activity organized by Little Breaks (a flexible drop-in childcare off Broadwell Road). Play-Well TEKnowledgies and its LEGOs will be on-site as well, meaning kids can build cool stuff and, in true Play-Well fashion, learn STEM-themed insights in the Slideprocess.

And that’s just part of the fun. Out in front of the Community Center and pool area, kids can bounce and move around two giant inflatables – one of them a slide, the other being an obstacle course. They can also go home with specially twisted balloons made for them of whatever they create at the crafts table.

Those who work up an appetite with all this splashing, bashing, and playing are in luck. Volunteers from the Milton Fire Corps will cook up complimentary hot dogs, or you can buy something sweet and chilly (between noon and 2 p.m.) from a Kona Ice truck. Attendees can also get your sweet fix from our cotton candy machine.

Add all that up, and you have an awesome way for families to spend the first weekend day of the summer school break. We’re excited to host them on May 23 at Splash ‘N Bash!
