Help us celebrate outstanding City employees by nominating them today for a Core Values Award.
To do so, simply take a minute to submit the form found at the bottom of this webpage: www.miltonga.gov/CoreValues.
Since 2022, the Core Values Awards have been the most prestigious internal honors for those who work for the City and on behalf of the Milton community. These shine a light and cheer on those who go above-and-beyond for our citizens and for their own teams. It’s also a valuable way to make sure exemplary City workers feel seen and appreciated, which only supports strong retention and morale (which both serve the community’s interests).
These awards are open to anyone who works for the City of Milton, including firefighters, police officers, Parks and Recreation or Public Works team members, or those who work out of City Hall. They can go to someone who stepped up in a moment of need, or to an individual who exhibited excellence over a long stretch over the past year. People can be nominated in any or all these categories (which correspond to the City’s “core values”):
- SERVICE – going the extra mile to assist and support citizens and colleagues
- OWNERSHIP – tackling, innovating, successfully following through on challenges
- RURAL HERITAGE – acting to nurture the environment, Milton’s rural look and feel
- TEAMWORK – being effectively, productively collaborative for the good of the whole
- LEADERSHIP – showing the way by exhibiting accessibility, inspiration, engagement
The City of Milton prioritizes doing everything possible for our community and each other. And there’s evidence that we’re exceptional in this regard – including ranking #1 in service by government employees a few years back, then more recently being crowned a National Champion for “Trust in Government.” We take none of these honors for granted, striving to serve, improve, and make a positive impact each and every day.
With the awards being given out in mid-August, nominations must be submitted by the end of Wednesday, August 5.
