A new outdoor event space has opened in downtown Milton promising fresh energy, excitement, and opportunities for our community to connect, explore, and enjoy memorable experiences.

It’s part of Market District Crabapple the multipurpose development along the eastern side of Heritage Walk that is already home to must-dine restaurants, must-have beverage stops, as well as several offices and even a yoga studio. In recent months, crews have been working diligently to create a different type of amenity on the district’s eastern-most end across from Hyde Brewing – a unique outdoor locale for events of all types as well as other special features.

The action will kick off this Friday in the form of the All Nashville Roadshow, a country music concert that was a hit during its Milton debut in the same location last summer. While everything that comes after that hasn’t all been finalized beyond hosting the Milton Farmers Market. Market District is looking into creating an outdoor skating rink there starting in November and resuming the monthly Crabapple Live mini-festival (co-sponsored by the City of Milton) next spring and summer.

“This new outdoor space at Market District Crabapple is an exciting addition to downtown Milton,” said Mayor Peyton Jamison. “It will create another welcoming place for people to gather, connect and enjoy all that Crabapple has to offer, while supporting the local businesses that make this area so special.”

There are plans, too, to add a permanent stage that can make this space even more flexible and appropriate for various activities. An in-the-works office building, as well as extensive landscaping, will serve as a buffer between that stage and nearby residences. The entire project will be in character with other buildings in this development as well as the aesthetic of Milton’s downtown at large.
