Home MenuCommunity Activities
Fostering community and forging meaningful connections are critical to the Milton Parks and Recreation Department’s mission. To that end, the City has created, organized, and facilitated community activities so that people – especially adults – can come together and bond over shared interests as well as a desire to have fun, worthwhile experiences.
Below you’ll find community activities in that vein. This webpage will be updated twice a year to reflect new and updated offerings. If you have questions about what’s below or have ideas for a new experience along these lines, please contact Parks and Recreation Specialist Micaela Burke at Micaela.Burke@miltonga.gov.
Parents of young children often look for people to meet and places to go that are safe, enjoyable and worthwhile for young and old. These playgroups at City facilities can ideally plant the seeds for special friendships for children and parents alike.

Join others in a tile game of strategy, skill, and old-fashioned luck through Milton Mah Jongg. Participants meet twice a week in Community Place, the small building next to City Hall, with beginners paired with more experienced players until they feel comfortable playing independently. They'll do so using the American Mah Jongg rules.
If you have a Mah Jongg set, feel free to bring it. But you don’t need to purchase one in order to play. In fact, there's no cost -- nor any need to register. Just come and enjoy the fun!
Days/Times: Mondays from 2-4 p.m.; Thursdays from 10 a.m. to Noon
Location: Community Place, 2006 Heritage Walk
