Below are important dates in the election cycle for the 2025 election, which is being run in Milton by Fulton County.

• AUGUST 18 through AUGUST 22: Qualifying period for municipal election candidates

• AUGUST 18: First day to apply for an Absentee Ballot

• OCTOBER 6: Deadline to register to vote/change address for a registered voter

• OCTOBER 14: First day Absentee Ballots can be mailed

• OCTOBER 14 through October 31: In-person Advance Voting period

• OCTOBER 24: Deadline to submit an Absentee Ballot application

• NOVEMBER 4: Election Day

A run-off is required in Georgia if no candidate (for any given contest) achieves more than 50% of the vote. Should that happen, the pertinent runoff dates will be:

• NOVEMBER 21: Deadline to apply for an Absentee Ballot for the runoff

• NOVEMBER 22-26: In-person Advance Voting period for the runoff

• DECEMBER 2: Runoff Election Day
