Learning about DUIsHave you ever wondered what it takes to be a police officer in Milton? How do they keep our roads as safe as can be? What’s involved in investigating crimes? What equipment do they have? And generally, how do they serve our community daily?

If so, you can get answers to those questions and more by joining the Milton Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy, running from August 13 through September 17, 2026. During the Academy, participants will meet Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m., generally at Milton Municipal Court inside the Public Safety Complex, the same building as Police Headquarters.

Sign-up for the next iteration of this engaging, interactive six-week program by filling out THIS FORM and either dropping it off during normal weekday business hours at Police Headquarters at 13690 Highway 9 or emailing it to Community Outreach Officer Dennis Pishock at dennis.pishock@miltonga.gov or Officer S. Ma at shi-peng.ma@miltonga.gov.

Participants will explore topics such as:

  • Command Staff
  • Special Ops (SOD)
  • North Fulton SWAT demonstration
  • Criminal Investigations
  • Crime Analysis
  • Use of Force/Simulator

Registration and a background check are required to attend. If you have any questions, email dennis.pishock@miltonga.gov.
